Responsibilities*
Assist with and may perform specialty-specific diagnostic tests such as: electrocardiograms, Fine Needle Aspirations, Fibro Scans, basic Spirometry, Skin Tests, Diagnostic monitoring,
Holter Monitor assistance, vision related testing including visual fields, contact lens trainings, intra ocular injection preps, scanning of the retina.
Assist with IV starts.
Set up Sterile Fields.
Administer medications/immunizations, injections as directed
May complete general administrative duties as assigned including; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Disability and Return to Work forms, Electronic Medical Record in-basket messages, etc.
Complete other clinical and non-clinical duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Moderate standing/walking, as well as, lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
Associate Level:
1-3 years of experience
Assistant Level:
0-1 years of experience
Some office experience
Desired Qualifications*
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or (RMA).
Experience working within a large complex health care setting.
Familiarity with electronic medical records system.
Experience working in a surgical or procedural outpatient or inpatient setting.
