Founded in 1863, Saint Mary's is a residential campus nestled 20 miles east of San Francisco in the picturesque Moraga Valley. Based in the Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Arts traditions, Saint Mary's currently enrolls more than 4,000 students from diverse backgrounds in undergraduate and graduate programs. The De La Salle Christian Brothers, the largest teaching order of the
Roman Catholic Church, guide the spiritual and academic character of the College.
CAPS' practicum training program trains MFT/ PCC practicum trainees. The trainees provide individual, couples, and group therapy to undergraduate and graduate students with complex clinical presentations, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, partner violence, suicide prevention, family conflict, sexual assault, disordered eating, substance abuse, and crisis
intervention. The clinical component of the training program consists of clinical supervision and case conferences designed to address general crisis intervention, counselor development, and psychotherapy approaches, as well as issues specific to the college population.
