Position Summary:The Department of Biological and Earth Science invites applications for the position of a 9-month Instructor of Biology. We are seeking broadly trained biologist to complement our existing faculty, teach undergraduate general biology courses that include Anatomy and Physiology, Introduction to Biological Science, Environmental Science, and other duties as assigned. Our department currently consists of 20 full and part-time faculty that administer three B.S. degrees (Biology, Fisheries & Wildlife Science, and Geosciences) and one M.S. degree (Fisheries & Wildlife Science). Applicants must hold an earned MS in Biology or a closely related field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate general biology courses that include Anatomy and Physiology, Introduction to Biological Science, Environmental Science, and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Earned MS in biology or related field from a regionally accredited institution by the start date.
Minimum Requirements:
Earned MS in biology or related field from a regionally accredited institution by the start date and ability to teach introductory biology courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
Evidence of quality teaching in the field of Biology.
Experience and/or ability to teach Anatomy and Physiology.
Experience and/or ability to teach Environmental Science.
Evidence of developing, supporting and/or implementing effective teaching and instructional technologies.
Evidence of, or potential for, creating an environment to support student success and access.
