Job Summary
The Program Manager – AI Initiatives will serve as the primary operational lead for the FIPSE‑funded UTD/Uplift: Future Ready AI Collaborative project. This role drives key grant initiatives, ensures strategic plan milestones are achieved, and manages the project’s fast‑paced deadlines. The Program Manager functions as the central liaison connecting the UT Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM), the Department of Education, and all project partners.

Core responsibilities include financial oversight, task management, and full ownership of all grant‑mandated deliverables, positioning this role as a critical contributor to the success of a high‑visibility, future‑focused initiative.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree; Five to seven years experience in a field relevant to the program; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or Educational Leadership.
Prior experience managing federal grants.
Familiarity with AI or technology initiatives in an academic or corporate setting.
Experience with UT Dallas financial systems and reporting tools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to oversee financial processes and reporting requirements.
Ability to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
Strong communication skills for working with internal and external partners.
Skill in organizing project activities and maintaining documentation.
Knowledge of program management practices relevant to grant-funded initiatives.

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

Strategic Execution: Drive and implement the core initiatives outlined in the FIPSE grant strategic plan.
Project Governance: Manage task allocations, track progress against deadlines, and ensure compliance with Department of Education reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Interface with internal UT Dallas faculty, Uplift Education partners, and industry constituents to maintain project alignment.
Financial Oversight: Monitor grant expenditures, manage budget allocations, and coordinate with the JSOM fiscal office to ensure financial integrity.
Deliverable Ownership: Author and compile annual performance reports, project‑specific metrics, and final strategic deliverables for the PI and federal agencies.

Additional Information
This position is jointly funded by UT Dallas and a Department of Education grant. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The initial appointment is through December 2029, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued funding and satisfactory performance.
