The Department of Biology at Ball State University invites applications for a full-time non- tenure line (contract) faculty position in Science Education (Biology).Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
What you'll do and what you will bring:
The primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in science education, particularly those focused onteaching science in elementary school settings, partnering with schools and community agencies, and performing other duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses inScience Education in Biology, including courses focused onelementary education science teaching.
Engage withlocal schools and community agenciesto support teacher preparation and experiential learning opportunities.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in education or a related fieldfrom an accredited institution by date of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Science Education or a related fieldfrom an accredited institution.
Experience teaching at the university level.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working withdiverse learners.
Experience partnering withschools and/or community agencies.
