Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, the Project Coordinator for the South Carolina Child Abuse and Neglect Network(SC-CANN), Department of Pediatrics, USC School of Medicine provides planning, implementation, management, monitoring, supervision, administrative and logistical support for projects between the program director and the state Children’s Advocacy Centers, Children’s Hospitals, and their respective healthcare providers and administrative staff. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to think proactively and function independently. Proficient in planning and organizing work activities effectively. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working/collaborative relationships. Skilled in project management methodologies and tools. Demonstrated skills with the collection and organization of data. Knowledge of computers, applications, and effective use of Microsoft 365 Office Suite, media, and web search engines. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.

Develops and publishes SC-CANN administrative policies. Researches and collects data/information pertaining to child maltreatment, federal and state legislative efforts, and child welfare practices. Prepares findings into summaries and documents suitable for presentation.

Prepares presentations and statistical reports for the statewide functions of the program. Provides oversight and reviews data entry and enhanced reimbursement claims processing.

Collaborates with database developer for the management of data collection, queries/reports, and continuous quality improvement programs. Develops tools to capture and process raw data from state healthcare providers, Children’s Advocacy Centers, and Children’s Hospitals.

Develops online resources and manages SC-CANN website to disseminate information to participating healthcare providers and state agencies.
