Job Description

Designs, develops and implements scalable cloud based database solutions and/or reviews existing systems and recommends improvements. Determines technical standards, specifications and leads the design, build and support of shared services cloud platform components. Collaborates with IT development team and database administrators to review database designs and optimize them for cloud performance and scalability. Identifies optimal cloud solutions, investigates new databases and related technologies for their applicability to business processes, provides expertise on cloud and infrastructure development initiatives, and educates teams on implementation of latest cloud technologies. Implements cloud initiatives and performs debugging procedures, provides advanced troubleshooting expertise to address any cloud platform wide performance and stability issues in accordance with the best practices throughout the development cycle. Drives adherence to company security policies and implements best practices in cloud security to ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or any related discipline with relevant industry experience.
• 8+ years of relevant data engineering experience in the design and building of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes by writing custom data pipelines and security implementation.
• Proficiency and hands-on experience in following technologies:
• Data Engineering, Data Lake and Data Warehousing
• Azure Data Factory
• Databricks
• SQL, PySpark, Python - required for building transformations in data pipelines.
• Snowflake
• ADLS Storage
• CI/CD systems, like Azure DevOps
• Power BI Cloud Analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certifications in data and analytics discipline.
• Experience working in SAFE Agile scrum practices, DevOps, CI/CD capabilities.
• Should posses critical thinking, excellent verbal/written communication, and presentation skills along with, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
